After such a busy weekend, all of us here at Poker By Proxy were pretty tired, so we limited today's poker play to a short session. Only 2 of our team members played today, while the others rested. The result, after a 50 minute session of online play was a return of 1.07%, which has been added to all accounts.

October 7th - Profit of 1.07%

The day started pretty well, with a few wins as our team was getting warmed up, however things quickly took a turn for the worse after we had played for about an hour. Usually when we have a loss day, things are lousy from the beginning, however today we were actually up 2% at one point, and probably should have quit. However, our team kept playing, which was ultimately a bad decision, as it resulted in an overall loss of 3%.

There wasn't one particular bad beat, or large hand that caused today's overall loss, but rather a series of small losses where we kept coming up just a little short of winning the hand. You do your best when you have pocket kings, but every now and then, another players gets lucky and has pocket aces. Anyway, despite today's loss, we're happy with the overall returns that have been produced by Poker By Proxy thus far.

In other news, we are currently working on expanding our team, and are currently in the process of testing out two new players. Assuming everything goes well with the initiation process, our larger team will be more diversified and better able to handle the increasing amount of deposits that we're receiving here at Poker by Proxy.

October 8th - Loss of 3%

This morning our team started early, determined to make up for yesterday's loss. They started out playing $1/2NL Holdem' and eventually moved up to $2/4NL and then $5/10NL later in the afternoon. The plan for the day was to be slow and steady, and earn a solid return, regardless of how long it took. By around 3pm, the team had achieved just what they set out to do, a return of 3.2%.

Another good day at the tables today. Once again, the team was online bright and early to make the most of the day. They started out with some $2/4NL Holdem, before moving on to Zoom poker at Poker Stars. For the first 2 hours of the day, things were pretty stagnant, with the team winning a bit, and then losing a bit, with very little change in their overall balance. By noon, the team was only up about 0.5%, so they decided to take a break and continue after lunch.

In the afternoon, they decided to take a different approach than usual, and played in a significant number of sit and go tournaments. While these are typically more time consuming and less profitable than regular tables, each member of our team participated in 4 tournaments simultaneously in order to maximize profits. While you may think that it's difficult to play in 4 tournaments at once, it's actually fairly simple, given that the majority of time is spent waiting on other players to take their turn. By 4pm, the team had won more than 75% of the tournaments that they had played, resulting in a total profit of 2.4%. Today's result of 2.4% has been added to all accounts.

October 10th - Profit of 2.4%

Another great day here at Poker By Proxy, with a 2.1% result to round out the week. Our team has been experimenting with a number of different strategies, and today's strategy was a success. The new strategy that we tried for today was to play exlusively in sit-and-go 50/50 tournaments. These are basically tournaments where 50% of the players win and double their money, while the others at the table lose. Compared to regular sit and go single table tournaments, the prizes aren't quite as high, however our team has found that if you are patient and play reasonably, they win the majority of the games they play.

October 11th - Profit of 2.1%

Today was a little slower than usual, with two of our team members away for the weekend. With that said, our remaining team members stepped up to the plate and were at the poker tables early in the day. After 6 hours of play, we managed to earn a return of 2%. All accounts have been updated.

With that said, we would like to send our wishes to everyone celebrating holidays this weekend.

October 12th - Profit of 2%

Happy Thanksgiving weekend to our Canadian friends, and Happy Columbus Day Weekend to our American friends. Due to the long weekend, we've been incredibly busy, and only had a short window of time to play poker today. Our team ended up playing for roughly 45 minutes, during which time they earned a result of 1.03%. All accounts have been updated with today's earnings.

You may notice that our support team is a little slower than usual when it comes to replying to support tickets, due to the holidays. We appreciate your patience.

October 13th - Profit of 1.03%

Unfortunately things didn't go quite as planned at the poker tables today, and we have a negative result to announce. No matter what we did, it seemed that we just kept getting bad cards and finding ourselves in unlucky positions. By noon, we had decided that rather than trying to turn things around, we would just announce a negative result for today and try again tomorrow. All accounts have been updated with today's result of -3.21%.

October 14th - Loss of 3.21%

Unfortunately things didn't go quite as planned at the poker tables today, and we have a negative result to announce. No matter what we did, it seemed that we just kept getting bad cards and finding ourselves in unlucky positions. By noon, we had decided that rather than trying to turn things around, we would just announce a negative result for today and try again tomorrow. All accounts have been updated with today's result of -3.21%.

October 14th - Loss of 3.21%

After yesterday's loss, I'm happy to announce that things are back on track. After the long weekend, our full team has returned to the tables and our customer support staff is currently going through a whole bunch of messages that accumulated over the weekend. We have some big improvements coming this week, including the upcoming introduction of our Twitter account as well as additional customer support features. We will also be holding scheduled Skype sessions later this week. I think that everyone will be pleased with the improvements that are currently in the pipeline.

In terms of today's play, our team was up bright and early, with the goal of recovering from yesterday's loss. The team started off slowly with some sit and go tournaments, which are usually a slow and steady earner. The team played 20 small tournaments in the morning and were able to generate profits in roughly 80% of them. As each of our players finished with their round of tournaments, they moved over to PokerStars Zoom poker, alternating between the $1/2NL rooms, $2/4NL rooms and even the $5/10NL rooms. Out of our 4 active team members, 3 were able to make decent returns on their stacks, resulting in an overall return for today of 3.05%. This pretty much makes up for yesterday's loss, and puts us back on track for a profitable week.
